Shake Your Rump – Beastie Boys re-release ‘Paul’s Boutique’

Can’t believe it’s 20 years since this groundbreaking record was released. To celebrate 20 years of radness they’ve re-issued Paul’s Boutique. If you slept on it, you’ve missed out on the delicious 20th Anniversary Commemorative Edition but you can still get some tasty bonus morsels with the deluxe digital version. For vinyl junkies, you better get on that quick. The video commentary is worth the purchase alone.

The real origin of the title: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_In_Sound_from_Way_Out!_(Perrey_and_Kingsley_album)
“…considered to be the first-ever mainstream electronic music album… In 1996, the title and cover art was referenced in the Beastie Boys release of the same name”

Damn, thats impressive work for such an early album.
Love the combination of tight grooves along with the same school boy humour (”I was making records while you were sucking your mother’s d” lol love it).
Thanks for hooking me up with what sounds like a great album
