Happy Christmas from The Cat Empire

What have the guys been up to? Well if you are part of their fanbase (which you can register for at www.thecatempire.com) you would have received their Christmas note which went like this:

TCE

Hello friends of our Empire.

This is an end of 2009 wrap-up, and a bit of Christmas cheer from all of us at THE CAT EMPIRE. It has been another great year for us, and we hope for you too.

We have just completed our tour of Canada, which saw thousands of people brave the cold to come out to our shows right across the country, and also in LA and NYC. We love you guys and thank you for your support.

Europe this year was also incredible; we trebled our crowds from the previous visit, released our live album and had a huge tour. We are humbled by the way Europeans have embraced our band.

LIVE ON EARTH hit the shelves all around the world, first of all in Australia, and by all reports fans are loving having The Empire live in their lounge rooms and is available on iTunes.

We also managed to get OUR ENTIRE CATALOGUE OF MUSIC up on iTunes WORLDWIDE this year. So, if there are any of our studio albums (The Cat Empire, Two Shoes, So Many Nights, Live on Earth) you have missed out on, download them now at your local i-tunes provider. If you find in your research that there is something missing from this list – let us know and we will ensure it is made available.

Ryan slowed down on the diary for a little while there, while he became obsessed with Twitter, but made a TOUR DIARY revival while we are in Canada. Check it out HERE.

Just before we go, anyone who orders merchandise on our online market during Dec ‘09 and January ‘10 will receive a free Empire Eye Mask (for sleeping!). In addition to that, 10 randomly selected orders during that time will also receive a personally signed photo (The Cat Empire on stage) from the band.

And just so you know when you will see us next year – We will be touring in July in North America, Aug/Sept in Australia, October in Europe. Our NEW ALBUM will be out around June/July worldwide. So, we are disappearing after Christmas to record it… wish us luck!

Have a very merry Christmas, and a fabulous 2010, and don’t forget to grab your tickets to Days Like This festival HERE where you can catch us on stage on January 10th alongside some legendary international and great local artists. Tickets are limited, so get in quick.

Best wishes, and thanks again for your support in 2009.
