A Million Ways OK Go rocked Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory Last Night!!

What’s the buzz around the office today? “How awesome was the OK Go show last night!?”

If you are reading this OK Go peeps, let me say I love the albums and I adore the videos, but the live experience has blown me away and it was such a privilege to experience that in the intimacy of the Oxford Arts Factory.

I didn’t take photos of every single favourite moment as tall people got in my way and my iPhone ain’t that good a photo device (so excuse the quality of the photos I am sharing) but here were some of the million neat parts of their show:

What To Do with HAND BELLS!

LED JACKETS AT THE ENCORE (so good, so so good)

OK Go LED Jackets

FLUFFY GUITARS WITH LASERS!

The band’s interactive lazer-shooting fluffy Gibsons were customised by artist and mechatronic research scientist Moritz Waldemeyer and Italian fashion designers Fendi! Find out more about the band’s crazy guitars on the Gibson website.

Other rad moments were Damian Kulash singing from the crowd, endless streams of confetti, THIS TOO SHALL PASS crowd sing-along, and quality storytelling from Damian and Tim. Bravo guys, with amazing music, genius music videos and such a great live experience is there nothing you can’t do (as a band, I mean).

OK Go buckets of confetti

Their latest album Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky completes the trifecta of awesomeness with tracks like WTF and This Too Shall Pass. If you still need further convincing of this bands radness, watch their videos on YouTube, see them live, and then I’m sure you’ll come back to me with “OK fine, you were right, I love OK Go and agree their albums are brilliant too”.

Here’s the setlist for the evening:

  • Get Over It
  • A Million Ways
  • White Knuckles
  • What U Want So Bad
  • Oh Lately It’s So Quiet
  • Back From Kathmandu
  • Don’t Ask Me

  • It’s A Disaster
  • A Good Idea At The Time
