The Chemical Brothers – Swoon!

Well, the video for Swoon is a far cry from traditional cinematic Chemical Brothers short films like The Test, Out of Control, and Elektrobank – but it sure as hell doesn’t disappoint!

The big difference is that Swoon was directed by Marcus Lyall and Adam Smith, who have been responsible for creating the visual backdrop for every Chems’ gig since their live debut in 1994. If you’ve ever seen Ed and Tom live, you’ll recognise these incredible animations as a vital element of the live experience…

We know this is just the beginning of the audiovisual intergalactic journey that is Further… Each album track will have a corresponding Lyall & Smith video, and the album is being referred to as a “single audiovisual work”. So this begs the question: “When do we get to Ed and Tom perform Further in Oz!?”

Here are some Lyall and Smith visuals from The Chemical Brothers‘ last We Are The Night tour in 2007…
