Vote for the track Miami Horror plays @ The SNICKERS Sessions

Betty White on a football pitch? Joe Pesci trying (and failing) to pick up chicks at a frat party? The whole premise behind Snickers’ latest advertising campaign is that “You’re not you when you’re hungry” (speaking of which.. I need to eat some lunch before I turn into Bert Newton).

Which is why The SNICKERS Sessions are raising  money for charity Heaps Decent by asking artists to perform tracks they would never normally consider; such as hip-hop artist Phrase doing a guest performance on Glee, or Miami Horror opening for a death metal band.

A public vote will decide which song each artist will cover and record.  Every vote will raise $1 for Heaps Decent – a not-for-profit initiative committed to the seriously worthy cause of finding and nurturing the creativity of underprivileged and Indigenous young people. The SNICKERS Sessions is hoping to raise a $20,000 donation for Heaps Decent through the voting process.

Here are the tracks Miami Horror could play – it’s all up to you voters! (between you and me though, I reckon they’d smash Under The Milky Way)

The Church – Under the Milky Way

The Models – Out of mind out of sight

The Saints – Stranded

Cast your vote NOW on The Snicker Sessions website

Once the votes are in, each band will rehearse and record their track, releasing it on iTunes on 19 August. All proceeds from the sale of the songs will also go to Heaps Decent.

The entire process will be shared via the website and Facebook page, allowing fans to watch, listen and interact with the bands’ journey.

This could be pretty cool. Love Reckless, Phrase could blow the roof off with that tune. Watch with interest,
