The JET boys are home and touring with Powderfinger on their Sunset Farewell Tour and loving it! While they were back in Sydney this weekend we surprised the guys with a celebration of achieving 1 million album and single sales in Australia. Here are some pics from the night:

JET flew back into Australia this week after a couple of months touring overseas to appear on the first show of Hey Hey It’s Saturday and blew the 1.5 million viewers away with performances of She’s a Genius and Seventeen. Their GOLD album quickly jumped back up the iTunes chart to #11 and they were interviewed by anyone who was anyone in media including (but certainly not limited to) Hamish & Andy, Triple M’s Grill Team, The Today Show, Nova Nights, Angela Bishop, Hot 30 and B105 + heaps of press.

At a press conference held in Sydney yesterday Powderfinger had a few HUGE announcements, one being that they will be kicking off their final tour this September / October called ‘Sunsets – The Farewell Tour’ – their biggest yet – and they will be joined by JET!
JET also announce today that they will be in the country next week for a promotional tour from Tuesday April 13 to Friday April 16 to promote their Gold album Shaka Rock and latest smash single Seventeen, the band will head to Sydney and hometown Melbourne before preparing what is to be, THE ultimate Australian concert of 2010!
She’s a Genius, the album’s first single is charging well beyond Gold sales and was recently nominated for the APRA ‘Song of the Year’ award!
