The hot seat: Norah Jones on Colbert Report

Nation, she may not have a treadmill at the International Space Station named for her, but she has probably sold enough albums to stretch to the moon and back. The other night, Norah Jones sat down for an interview with Stephen Colbert and she had to field some heavy hitting questions. Like with all her success, why isn’t she living large at the Bellagio with an albino alligator?

Take a watch at how Norah handles that one before she performs Young Blood from her new album The Fall. After many listens of the album, that’s the standout track for me.

Norah Jones: Chasing Pirates with the experts

And so we bring you Norah Jones’ video for Chasing Pirates… Not only does it feature pirates (or a very attractive Norah-esque one), the clip was directed by the visual effects master behind all three Pirates of the Caribbean  films, Rich Lee. Hence Norah’s very appropriate “Johnny Forever” tatt:

Here are some more peeks from the filming: Norah Jones Behind The Scenes

Curious what replaced the green screen? Watch the vid in full below… (excuse the pre-roll advert)

Brave new Norah Jones takes on pirates

Norah Jones’ new single ‘Chasing Pirates’ offers a tantalising glimpse into her upcoming album ‘The Fall.’  It’s very cool and…well, groovy. I have thought about it and ‘groovy’ is simply most fitting adjective to describe it.

There will be a full video soon, but for now the sneak peek indicates that Norah literally is chasing pirates of the peg-legged, parrot-on-the-shoulder kind.

Head over the Stereogum to listen to the track in full.

The Fall is out Nov 13.
