Gig Review: The Force Is Strong In Papa Vs Pretty

A long time ago (last night) in a galaxy far, far away (The Standard’s 1st Birthday Party), Papa Vs Pretty jumped up on stage, the Star Wars intro music belting.
This was their first (publicised) show in months. It was the first chance that most had had to meet the latest guitar-playing band member Luke Liang and to hear some of the band's new songs!
They sound heavier: PVP’s style is progressing in an exciting new direction. Tom Myers does an outstanding job of singing while drumming. There is a nostalgic quality to the new tracks, "like a collision of all your favourite '90s bands" (thanks Heather!)
Can’t wait until this new stuff is released! If you haven’t seen these guys play live, I find your lack of faith disturbing.
